Many of us today have jumped on the blogging bandwagon. With the popularity of blogging today, it seems that everyone has a blog or in the process of starting one. Though many know what they want to focus on in their blog, others have a more difficult time in deciding. Those who are a Christian and have a true love of the Lord also struggle with this decision, as what does a Christian blog about and how do they decide what the best subject would be?
Honestly, the subject of your blog is not that important. What is in your blog is. Basically, you should choose a subject that is your passion or something you may in fact be an expert about. Whether that would be knitting, cooking, crocheting, and just about anything else, you want the love of your subject to transpire to the words in your blog. You may also want to pray fully ask the Lord if this is the right subject for you, he will of course guide you in the right decision.
Once the Lord has shown you what you should be writing about, the next step is to decide what to include in your first blog posting. Typically, a blogger would use their knowledge about the subject and approach writing their first post. A Christian blogger does this a bit differently.
Begin by opening your heart to the Lord. Pray and ask Him what his will is and what he would like you to convey by writing this blog. If you ask the Lord and give everything up to Him, he will guide you and tell you what he wants and asks of you. As long as you truly understand that everything happens according to His will and you love and trust Him completely and with all your heart, you will never be at a loss for words.
Blogging is a wonderful hobby as so many others have found out, as blogging continues to grow almost as fast as the internet expands. Bloggers enjoy sharing their words and feelings on a subject that truly enjoy. As a Christian you not only receive the blessing of being able to write what you are passionate about, but you also receive the guidance and the love of our Lord. Nothing can be a more rewarding experience than that is.
