{QOTW}What Is the Last Book You Read?

whitequestionmarkWelcome to the CSAHM “Question of the Week.” Please feel free to share your answers, ideas, or thoughts to the “Question of the Week” in the comments section below.

This weeks question:
What is the last book you read?

I have to say I am terrible with starting a book and never completing it. I’ve read books, but I haven’t necessarily finished them. With that being said the last book I read (besides the Bible) is the 4:8 Principle which is a very good book. I’m thinking about reading it again soon.

I’ve definitely referred back to the Philippians 4:8 since I read this book because it just makes sense, why focus on what you don’t even know to be true and focus on what you DO know to be true. I know I spend a lot of time focusing on what isn’t true and it’s amazing how those thoughts can RULE over your life.

  1. I am in a book club and before joining I was like you and never finished a book. I would start and never finish. So I decided to ask around and find some good Christian fiction novels to read. My very first read was by Francine Rivers called Redeeming Love. Still to this day that book is my favorite book. I would definitely recommend it. On another note, the last book I read was a secular fiction novel called Still Alice by Lisa Genova.

The last book I read was Wraith by James R Hannibal (his debut book by the way). Though the book would not be labeled Christian fiction, it does contain a Christian world view and Hannibal is a Christian. It is a great Airforce thriller.

I am now reading Dr. James Dobson’s Hide and Seek as research for my devotional for building self-esteem, and to review as a parenting book.

I am trying to read at least one new (one I haven’t read before, not necessarily brand new, hot off the presses) book each month.

  3. Michelle says:

WONDERFUL Mom book is called Real Moms, Real Jesus by Jill Savage. She reminds us that Jesus cares about moms and knows what it’s like to be woke up by the kids in the middle of the night because they are scared…desciples, boat, storm…need I say more? Jill has many great books but this one is my favorite!

  4. Tamara says:

A Woman After God’s Own Heart by Elizabeth George. Anything by Elizabeth is fantastic!!!! Check out her book entitled: “Loving God with All Your Mind”.
    Incredible!!!!
