{QOTW} What Is Your Favorite Book?

whitequestionmarkWelcome to the CSAHM “Question of the Week.” Please feel free to share your answers, ideas, or thoughts to the “Question of the Week” in the comments section below.

This weeks question:
What is your favorite book?

Wow, you know I don’t read a whole lot anymore. Sad but true. Most of my time is spent reading the Bible, blogs, and homeschool curriculum. Oh and I do read books for my Bible Study group at Church, but other than that the last book I read was “The Shack” – which I liked, but not sure I can say it was my favorite book. I guess right now I would have to say my favorite book is the Bible, and I’m sure it will stay in that top spot forever, lol. But if I had to pick another book besides the Bible I would probably pick Love Life for Every Married Couple – it is truly one of the best books I have ever read on building a STRONG Christian marriage.

Comments

  1. Aside from the Bible (given!), my favorite books are Jane Eyre by Bronte and Lewis’s apologetic books (Mere Christianity, Screwtape Letters, The Great Divorce, ect). I know I will be thinking of this all day and come up with tons more, though!

  2. I am an avid reader … narrowing down to a favorite book would be impossible! But I can say that my favorite authors are Gary Thomas, C. S. Lewis, and Calvin Miller. Right now, I am absolutely consumed by reading about spiritual disciplines and have loved the writings of St. John of the Cross, Teresa of Avila, and Brother Lawrence.

  3. I will have to say te Bible. But now just because it is the Word of God. The bible is fascinating because you can read it for anything! There are millions and millions of self help books out there for every possible need, problem, concern, etc.. But you do not need any of them, all you have to do is read your bible and it will give you the direction you need when you need it!

    Blessings to you and yours!
