{QOTW} What is the Strangest Food You Ever Ate?

whitequestionmarkWelcome to the CSAHM “Question of the Week.” Please feel free to share your answers, ideas, or thoughts to the “Question of the Week” in the comments section below.

This weeks question:
What is the strangest food you ever ate?

I’m really boring with this question because I know there are way stranger foods than what I’m about to list, but honestly I’m not that much of a dare devil when it comes to food. But I’ve had Elk and Buffalo before, lol. I know I’m living on the edge, eh? I’ve also had Venison! I’d just like to note that I do not like to eat Elk, Buffalo, or Deer now that I’ve tried it.

I had cactus soup in Mexico City. It was pretty good…but different.

Fried yucca. It was really good!

I was working at an ice cream restaurant, and we dared each other to eat weird food combination. The worst was the cod strip sundae- fried cod with a scoop of Cole sale, hot fudge and whip cream. We also did “Suicide shots” which was a squirt of every type of syrup (soda without the seltzer part)

So, I lived in Alaska during my childhood, and ate moose (including organs), caribou, and elk. I was once offered blubber, but refused. I’ve eaten alligator tail (it really does taste like chicken), oysters (not a fan), and a variety of fruit soups including cantaloupe and strawberry. The strangest thing I’ve ever eaten, after being told it was barbecued chicken – was cow’s tongue. My parents had a friend fix it, told me it was chicken, and then my dad began sticking his tongue out at me while I was eating, and I realized I was no longer eating chicken, and stopped…
