It's easy to understand and I really like the Study NIV, with notes and room for your own notes. I do like the NKJV and Amplified as well, they are also easy to read. But in the past couple of years, I have really loved to read the Amplified version - especially for my personal reading and study. I love having the additional expressions and vocabulary to help me fully understand the meaning of the passage I'm reading. It makes it very personal for me. There is a Parallel study bible that has both the NKJV and the Amplified version - and I'm hoping to get it for Christmas this year. =) I grew up with the King James Version, so the NKJV easily became my favorite as an adult.
