The “C” Word

In the middle of one of my two year old son’s melt down, I often find myself saying I can’t do this anymore, and then usually things just get worse,
and I end up blowing my top therefore feeling even worse about myself and the whole situation!

But I truly feel that the word can’t shouldn’t even be in the Christian vocabulary. It isn’t even a word in the dictionary. When Christian moms say they can’t do something then they are basically saying the Holy Spirit that lives on the inside of them can’t do it either. This is a 100% lie from the enemy, because the Bible says God CAN do all things, and so can we, only because He lives on the inside of us!

Saying or thinking that you can’t do something is taking on a defeated mentality, and that is exactly what the enemy wants. We need to realize that whenever we feel we can’t do something then that should be a reminder that we do need God in our lives, and that we need to turn to Him for the strength and the knowledge to get through the difficult times of being a Christian, wife, and mother.

Life isn’t about what we want, the things we can’t do, or who we know; life isn’t even ruled by our circumstances. It is really all about who we believe in, who we trust, and who is in control of our lives. If God is in control of our lives, and if Jesus is our savior, then the Bible says that we now have the Holy Spirit living on the inside of us! The Bible also says ALL things are possible through Christ!

So we need to stop saying we can’t, because, maybe we CAN’t , but God can.

So what might you be missing out on life because you think you can’t do it? Well whatever it is I would like to challenge you to step forward and pray about that one thing. Ask God if it is His will, and if it is then I want to challenge you to step forward and start believing that you CAN, and stop believing the enemies lies. God believes in you and He believes that you CAN do it! He believes in us so much that He gave the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, His son!

God believed in us before we were even saved! So we need to step up to the plate and do the things He has called us to do, and stop limiting Him by our thoughts, and the lies that we have grown to believe.

WE CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST! So get up and go, be the light for God, be the body of Christ, and stop being a slave to the lies of the enemy. God is calling all of us today to move forward and stop being so scared, only because we have nothing to be scared of! Be the wife and mom God has called you to be! If God has called you to share the truth with the world then step out in faith and know that God will be there with you every step of the way!

Be sure to let that “c” word go. Whenever you catch yourself saying “that” word, I want to challenge you to replace the word and complete the sentence differently. More than likely we CAN do whatever it is God has called us to, but we are just choosing not to do it! We need to turn to God and realize that it is our purpose in life to live out Gods will, and to further HIS kingdom. Once we realize this simple truth, then I feel we will begin to make different decisions, and learn to turn to God more often when we are faced with the difficulties of life!

Can’t, should not be a part of anyones vocabulary at this point. It is obvious that we can do anything we want if we set goals and put our minds to it, God will help us in the end.

    Hi Sharoll,

I can understnad how things feel so tough, and sometimes meaningless. I have found trying to just make a conscious effort to find joy in the little things a big help, but it can still be a struggle.

I will be praying for you to find God’s purpose for you life. :)
