My Review

Even though my kiddos already have a regular Bible, when I received this Bible to review I knew it would be different. With it being very colorful and full of nice little extras like: the colorful characters and icons, the “bet you can” read this challenges, God’s Thoughts/My Thoughts, Life preservers, and so much more it really does help the Bible come alive. It also helps your children to understand the Bible even more, or can be a great tool for parents during family Bible Study time. One thing that stood out to me was a section called “life preserver” and in Genesis the “life preserver” section answers the question “What is a covenant?” Which is great because not a whole lot of kids know what a covenant is!

I absolutely LOVE The Deep Blue Kids Bible and think it would make a great Christmas present for any family that has little ones in the house!

Comments

  1. Every Christmas we hang a stocking for Jesus and write down and add things to it that we think would make Jesus happy (Obeying, Going to church…etc). On Christmas Eve we bake Jesus a birthday cake and Christmas morning before we open our presents we sing Happy Birthday to Jesus, say a prayer, enjoy a slice of cake for breakfast and observe the things we earlier placed in His stocking.

  2. I plan to keep Christ in Christmas by continuing to tell my children about Christ birth. We are also going to be serving othersthis season and giving to others.

  3. As Christmas approaches, I try to de-emphasize all the hustle and bustle and Santa Clause talk and focus instead on why Jesus came to earth as a little baby. We have fun choosing gifts for our loved ones and choosing gifts for others far away through the Samaritan’s Purse gift catalog.
