Christian Movie Review: Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

With all the hype about the new Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull I am sure most of you reading this post have already seen this movie. My husband and I decided to go see this movie because we love the Indiana Jones movies. The movie started out great, full of action just within the first few minutes – typical of an Indiana Jones movie, it was very entertaining!

However some of the scenes were carried on a little too long and with that they were completely unrealistic. One scene showed the new side kick “Mutt Williams” swinging from vines with monkeys as if he were Tarzan or something, I mean it was so far fetched and so unbelievable it almost did this movie in for me. However most of the other scenes were intriguing, FUNNY – oh were they funny, and did I mention they were entertaining?

All in all I give this movie 3 1/2 our 4 Stars just for the unrealistic and drawn out action sequences, but it really is a pretty good movie. I would definitely recommend seeing it on the big screen. I feel this movie is appropriate for children over the age of 13 years old. There were some violent scenes but nothing I feel a 13 year old can’t handle – I mean the action scenes were pretty unrealistic anyways.
