Book Review: The 4:8 Principle

I recently had the privilege to review the new book titled The 4:8 Principle: The Secret to a Joy Filled Life.

This book is based on the scripture Philippians 4:8:

“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 (NKJV)

The main focus of this book is to point out the power of positive thinking. I love this book because positive thinking is a powerful thing, however a lot of books on the market that address this powerful tool is very new age and is not based on scripture.

I found this book to be extremely inspirational and worth the read. The author, Tommy Newberry, really bases each chapter on scripture and it’s truly amazing to see that even the Bible talks about positive thinking and how important it is in your life to be positive in all circumstances.

Tommy Newberry isn’t afraid to talk about all truths of the Bible including sin, and our Savior. That’s what truly separates this book from all the books out there that talk about the power of positive thinking.
