A new form of online communication is a blog. A blog is a place to share your daily life, thoughts, really anything you want to share with anyone, everyone, or no one. Setting up a blog is much easier than setting up a website. Simply go to blogger.com; register; enter the requested information; title your blog; choose a template; and begin posting. It’s that simple. There are many sites, such as Google, where you can set up a blog site. Once you have it set up, you can email your friends and tell them about it. It’s a good thing, and it’s free!

I don’t know. I still like my websites better. I don’t sell a product or service, and there is a place for my readers to comment on specific things. Plus, my website has much higher rankings and is tons more profitable than any blog I have ever attempted.
But, I do love to READ blogs

I definitely think websites serve their purpose. That’s good that you have a place for people to comment, most static websites don’t have that, so that’s good!
I also think that any blog can be similar to a static website, and may even be easier for non html savvy people build a website of their own for little to no cost.
So I definitely feel there are benefits to both a regular website and a blog.
